TOP FIVE Best Products for Wavy Hair Care - Ultimate Wavy Hair Guide

Here's a comprehensive list of the best products for wavy hair.

Want your wavy hair to look better on a consistent basis- we got you! Here are the essentials that will enhance your natural waves and won't take more of your precious time.

Silk Pillowcases: These protect your hair and facial skin so much better than the satin (polyester) ones I've been making do with for years. I originally got the satin ones to help protect my hair from breakage, and still had quite a lot of hair breakage on the sides of my head. To be fair, I am an avid tosser and turner while I sleep.

These pillowcases not only look gorgeous, the silk is a natural fiber and reduces the friction between the pillow with your skin and hair. This is especially important if you toss and turn at night. For those with night sweats, silk pillowcases are much more breathable than cotton or satin (polyester).

High Quality Rubberbands: I've tried so many rubberbands for ponytails and buns throughout my life and these are THE BEST. The elastic doesn't wear out and they're large and fuzzy enough to not cause breakage or the dreaded ponytail line.

I was a devoted Goodie hair band girl for decades. I would get the black ones with no seam, and when I would take down my hair, it'd go on my wrist and it made a pretty good wrist accessory. There's so many pictures of me out there with the tell tale black band on my wrist.

To be completely honest, the Gimme Beauty bands will not look good on your wrist. They do not look good at all. But they do make your hair health much better in the long run. If I do have to take my hair down, these hair bands either go in my purse or pocket.

Gimme Beauty bands come in several sizes for different hair types. The kit below comes in different sizes to really see which ones will work the best with your hair.

Detangling Hair Brush: Your hair brush should have the bristles farther apart and they need to have a protective ball on the ends. Brushing hair is not just about detangling, you also need to take the natural good-for-you oils from the scalp down through the tips.

With wavy hair, you also don't want to overbrush or possibly cause more breakage. It's best to go with a brush that can get through your hair with as much ease as possible and a detangling brush like this is perfection.

Shower Cap: These will allow you to shower while keeping your hair dry. Shampooing your hair too often will actually harm your hair and scalp. If you're used to showering on a daily basis, just get a shower cap to keep your hair dry and only shower once every other day. If you're already showering every other day, work to cut down the shampooing to every other shower.

You might say hey- I could just put my hair in a bun while I shower. Nah. You don't want to do that. Even if you use an amazing Gimme hair band for that shower bun, the answer is still no.

Humidity and wavy hair are not friends. Better put your hair fully inside one of the bad boys linked below and don't even take it out of there until you're out of that steamy bathroom post shower.

Bonus: these are so cute they'll make you feel you're one of the sinchronized swimmers in a Busby Berkley montage.
